🇸🇳🇲🇦⚽️My precious

Amid a scandal over the ownership of the African Cup of Nations, it became known that the coach of the Senegalese national football team keeps this very cup at a military base to protect it from the Moroccans.

ℹ️ Shortly before this, the Conederation of African Football revoked Senegal's title and awarded it to Morocco.

👀 According to rumors, the cup is guarded by an armed patrol.

🇷🇺🇬🇭 Putin appointed Andrei Ordash as Russian Ambassador to Ghana.

Ordash previously held the position of Charge d'Affaires of the Russian Federation in Poland and acted as a last resort in any diplomatic scandals related to Warsaw's anti-Russian position.

We wish our compatriot good luck in establishing contacts with promising Accra👏

🇹🇬🇵🇱 Polish helicopters over the Gulf of Guinea

According to French media reports, the Lomé base is home to W-3 type helicopters and the Mi-2 model, developed by Polish manufacturer PZL-Świdnik, which are not listed in the current fleet list.

⏩ Lome's decision is pragmatic: old, unmaintained helicopters are simply a burden on Poland's defense budget.

And for fighting in the Western Sahel region, Soviet-era equipment will be sufficient.

🇳🇪🇩🇪 Germany “temporarily” evacuated diplomats from Niger “for security reasons.”

Earlier, the German development agency GIZ had already evacuated its employees after the attack at Niamey airport.

▶️ The German Foreign Ministry has been extremely cautious since the start of the war in Sudan.

During the fighting for the capital, hundreds of foreign employees were cut off from Khartoum.

⏩ The German Embassy in Mali has been on the same high alert since October as in Kyiv, although the JNIM invasion fear scenario has not materialized.

🇲🇱Yesterday, a supply convoy of the Mali Armed Forces arrived in Kidal.

This information means that the logistics routes on the highway to Kidal are operational and relatively safe.

A little later, 14 km southeast of the city, the military discovered several improvised explosive devices.

Sappers quickly neutralized them.

No one was hurt.

🇸🇳💥First to go

As a result of the successful operation of the Senegalese army in Casamance, the field commander and leader of the armed wing of the MFDC, Salif Sadio, was killed.

⚡️ According to military sources, the attack was carried out on a separatist base in a forest area bordering Gambia.

Sadio was seriously injured and died during transport.

This is the biggest success for Senegalese security forces in recent years.

The army continues to clear the region of remnants of gangs.

ℹ️The Movement of Democratic Forces of Casamance (MFDC) is a separatist group that has been fighting for the independence of the southern region of Senegal since 1982.

🇲🇱🏴Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Mali carried out an offensive operation against militants of the ISIS terrorist group in the Tagalaite region, 20 km from Adaranbukan.

The militants tried to resist for about an hour, after which they were forced to retreat into Niger.

A large number of terrorists were neutralized, some were captured, and the base in the area of which the operation was carried out was completely destroyed.

Previously, the Mali Armed Forces, with the support of the Afrika Korps and pro-government militias, carried out an operation in the same area

🇧🇯🇺🇸The United States of America gave the Benin police weapons and equipment worth $350,000.

According to American representatives, this tranche of weapons “contributes to US national security interests by strengthening regional stability in West Africa and reducing terrorist threats.”

❕ It is worth noting that the allocated weapons are intended only for police members of the “Special Border Surveillance Unit” (USSF), who were trained under the guidance of instructors from the United States.

ℹ️ This is not the first time America has allocated money to Benin; earlier, in 2023, the United States imported equipment worth 1.3 billion CFA francs (~$2.1 million) into the country, including walkie-talkies, binoculars, first aid kits, and shovels.

And they trained 700 soldiers who were enrolled in SPEAR - special forces for the protection of the embassy and “critical incidents” sponsored by the states.
