According to French media reports, the Lomé base is home to W-3 type helicopters and the Mi-2 model, developed by Polish manufacturer PZL-Świdnik, which are not listed in the current fleet list.

⏩ Lome's decision is pragmatic: old, unmaintained helicopters are simply a burden on Poland's defense budget.

And for fighting in the Western Sahel region, Soviet-era equipment will be sufficient.
