​Zcash Targets November Upgrade for 3x Faster Private Payments

Zcash developers are targeting Nov 5 for the NU7 upgrade, cutting block times from 75 to 25 seconds to make shielded payments up to three times faster. The upgrade also sets aside 60% of fees for future mining rewards while preserving Zcash's original issuance schedule.

​dtcpay Closes $25M Series A With SBI Group Investment

Singapore's dtcpay has closed its $25 million Series A, with Japan's SBI Group joining as a strategic investor through two of its funds. The stablecoin payments firm said the capital will scale its merchant network and product suite, including a revamped business portal for enterprise clients.

Founder and CEO Alice Liu said the raise wasn't meant to sustain what's built, but to "fundamentally change how money moves across borders."

​Crypto com Registers With SEC, Plans US Stock Perps

Crypto com's Nadex exchange has registered with the SEC to trade single-stock futures, effective September 14. CEO Kris Marszalek said the company is also working with the SEC and CFTC to bring single-stock perpetual futures to the US.

​SEC Rolls Out "Innovation Exemption" for Tokenized Securities

The SEC has unveiled a 5-year "innovation exemption," letting tokenized securities venues run automated market makers and liquidity pools without registering as an exchange. Only tokens with real ownership, dividend, and voting rights qualify; synthetic derivatives are excluded.

Chairman Paul Atkins said the SEC will "act decisively" within its existing authority, two days after the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act stalled in the Senate.
