The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is Italy's oldest active shopping gallery and one of the first passages in Europe, built in 1865-1877.
The sheer scale of the Galleria is impressive and can be gauged by the shoppers in the foreground.

Pheidias' workshop
The top of each Parthenon pediment was adorned by one big acroterion in the form of a palmette placed on a low marble base. The reconstructed acroterion exhibited in the Acropolis Museum aims to visualise the impressive size of the two acroterions that exceed three metres and highlight their design novelty that draws on the combination of acanthus and palm tree leaves.

Castle Howard, the home of the Howard family for over 300 years, maybe best known as the filming location for the series Brideshead Revisited. This is a small temple at the far end of the extensive grounds. The building was used for entertaining, including a wedding. It's a very romantic place with marvellous views of the English countryside.
