🥀 Ivan, the 20-year-old son of opposition politician Dmitry Gudkov (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent, extremist, and terrorist) died by suicide after struggling to cope with emigration from Russia.

In what was described as his final post on his Telegram channel, Ivan spoke about how difficult life in emigration had been for him:

“I came to a clear realization: the only way to find happiness in emigration is through assimilation - giving up my Russian identity in favor of another. But for me, that path is unacceptable.

There have been two greatest gifts in my life: being born Russian and living in Russia.
And although the second came to an abrupt end, no one can take away my right to a third — the right to die Russian. Glory to Russia!”
