▪️Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Minister Maksut Shadayev called the attacks on three of the company's data centers in the Ryazan, Kaluga, and Vladimir regions, which occurred over several days, "unprecedented in scale."
▪️ Despite partial damage to equipment and disruptions to individual services, Yandex managed to quickly restore their functionality and avoid lengthy downtime.
▪️ The threat was extremely serious: these weren't just single drones; dozens of drones were sent to each facility. With such massive attacks, even modern defense systems can't guarantee 100% interception of all drones.
▪️ Protecting server complexes is much more difficult than protecting Russian oil refineries. Not all physical security methods are suitable for facilities where uninterrupted power supply, cooling, and stable operation of sensitive equipment are critical.
▪️ During simultaneous attacks on several data centers, the company demonstrated high resilience, quickly restoring services and avoiding serious disruptions, which is certainly not to be taken for granted given the scale of the attacks.
