🇵🇰🇦🇫 Pakistan strikes hit Afghanistan

Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan killed nine people and injured 11 on Thursday, the Afghan Taliban government said, according to a Reuters report. The incident involves the two South Asian neighbours.

Kabul said the strikes came amid an escalation in fighting between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The reported flare-up follows three months of relative calm.

The strikes mark a renewed deterioration in cross-border security conditions. The reported casualties add immediate pressure to an already escalating confrontation.
