🇨🇳🇦🇫 Xi outlines four principles for resolving African conflicts

Chinese President Xi Jinping said China supports African countries in resolving conflicts through dialogue, self-driven solutions, development, and coordinated international support, according to remarks carried by allAfrica on October 16, 2026. The four principles were presented as part of China’s stated approach to peace and security issues on the continent.

The remarks come as China continues to expand its diplomatic and economic engagement across Africa. Beijing has increasingly framed its Africa policy around conflict mediation, development cooperation, and support for African-led mechanisms.
