🇬🇭🇳🇬🇸🇳🇹🇬 EBID approves $390m for projects in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo
The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development approved $390m in financing for four projects at its 101st Ordinary Meeting in Lomé on 28 September 2026. The package includes $230m for Azumah Resources Ghana Limited to develop the Black Volta Gold Project, $50m for Ghanaian company MOSL Limited to support petroleum product supplies, $100m for Phase II of Nigeria’s Kano-Maradi Standard Gauge Railway Project through the acquisition of rolling stock and operational equipment, and $10m for the pilot phase of the West Africa Initiative for Climate-Smart Agriculture covering Ghana, Senegal and Togo.
EBID said the approvals are part of its Growth, Resilience and Optimisation Strategy for 2026-2030. EBID President Dr George Agyekum Donkor said the projects are intended to support productive activity, regional value chains, trade and employment.
