How to price your work when you're just starting ☺️

No reviews yet, no idea what to charge. Most beginners guess, go too low, and regret it. Here's a simpler way.

Count the hours, not the job

Before you name a price, break the job into steps and estimate each one honestly.

Say a logo job looks like this:
• research and sketches: 3 hours
• 3 concepts: 6 hours
• edits after feedback: 3 hours
That's 12 hours. Now add about 25% for messages, small fixes and surprises, and you land at about 15 hours. Your price = those hours ×your hourly rate.

Not sure what your hourly rate should be? Open the Talent catalog, find freelancers with similar skills and experience, and see what they charge. Start a little below them, after 3 completed jobs with good reviews, raise it.

💔 Why going very cheap hurts you

• You work the same hours for less, and burn out fast
• You attract clients who only care about price, not quality
• A price that's far too low looks not attractive but suspicious
• Raising your rate later is much harder than starting fair

Being slightly cheaper is fine when you're new. Being the cheapest is a trap.

🌱 What to write when you have no reviews

Clients don't need reviews as much as they need to feel safe.

Give them that:
Hi! I can do this in 4 days. Here's a similar piece I made: [link]. My plan: first draft in 2 days, then one round of edits. Your payment stays in escrow until you approve the work.

Short, specific, with proof and a clear plan. That beats "I'm very experienced, hire me" every time.

✅ Set your hourly rate in Profile, so clients see it before they even open your application.

Thinking about hiring here? Let's talk about what worries you.

Finding a freelancer online is only half the battle. Making sure your money and projects are safe is where things get tricky - here is how we keep you covered:

🔒You pay when the work is done, not before

You fund the job up front so the freelancer knows the money is real. They don't receive it until you approve what they delivered. If the work never arrives, it comes back to you.

⚖️ If work is bad, don't approve it

Open a dispute inside the deal and the money freezes. We read the chat and the delivered files, then send the funds to whoever is right. Within 72 hours.

🎯 You won't be short of applicants

500+ freelancers across 22 categories: developers, designers, video editors, writers, community managers. Every job posting is screened before it goes live, so you're not digging through spam.

🤍 Trying it costs nothing

Posting is free. You pay 5% on top only when a deal completes. A $300 job costs you $315, and the freelancer keeps the full $300.

🪙 Payments are in USDT

You'll need a crypto wallet, about five minutes to set up once. We work this way because most of our freelancers live where a card or a bank transfer simply doesn't reach them.

👋 And yes, we're new

So we're not asking you to take our word for anything. Tell us what you need and we'll write the job post for you, hand-pick two or three freelancers to choose from, and stay with you through the first deal. Don't like the applicants? You walk away and it cost you nothing.

💼 Know someone who hires?

Think for a second. A past client. Your old boss. A friend with a small business. Someone who has paid for work before.

Bring them here. When they complete their first job, our full fee goes to you. 100% of it, not just a share. After that, you’ll keep earning your normal referral share every time they complete another job.

The Process:
• Copy your personal link from your Profile
• Send it to anyone who might be hiring
• They post a job and hire a freelancer
• When the job is completed and paid, the fee lands in your balance in USDT

Example: We charge the client a 5% fee on top of the job. On a $300 job, that’s $15 - and all $15 goes straight to you.

What most people miss

You are not just earning a bonus. You are creating a job you can apply for yourself. More clients here mean more work for everyone. Bring one, and you can get paid twice: for the referral, and for the work. 🧠

Offer runs 25 August to 25 September.

Why nobody replies to your proposal

20 to 50 people apply for the same job. Only one gets hired. Here is what makes that one different.

1️⃣ First they look at your profile

Before they read your message, they look at who you are. Research shows a profile that says clearly what you do gets twice as many messages.
"I am a reliable and detail-oriented freelancer available for various tasks. I deliver quality work on time."
"I build Telegram bots and mini apps. Node.js + Postgres. My last bot handles 400 orders a day. I can show a working demo in 5 days."
The difference is not talent. It is being clear: what you do, what you did before, how fast.

2️⃣ Then they read your message

Clients read it for a few seconds, not minutes. In those seconds they decide one thing: does this person understand my job and can they get it done.
"Hello sir, I am interested in this job. I have much experience. Please consider me."
"You need a landing page for a token launch. I built two before, here is one. I would start with the main page and send a first version by Friday. One question: do you have the text ready, or should I write it?"

Four simple steps:
• Say what THEIR job is
• Show one thing you did like it
• Say when you will finish
• Ask one question about the job

The last one matters. A question shows you actually read it.

3️⃣ What most people get wrong

Sending more proposals does not help. Research shows freelancers who apply to fewer jobs that fit them get hired 42% more often.
Three good messages beat ten copied ones.

4️⃣ Add a link that proves it

Anyone can write "5 years of experience". A link proves it in one click. Clients believe what they can see much more than what you tell them.

Good links:
GitHub for code
Behance or Dribbble for design
LinkedIn for your work history
• Your own website
• A Google Drive folder with your 3 best files

Do this today 👇
Open your profile. Write your bio in one line: what you do, one example, how fast. Then pick your categories so clients can find you.

10 minutes to fix, and you stop losing jobs for the wrong reason.

$100 today. Still $100 next year.

💵 USDT is a stablecoin — a dollar equivalent. Its price stays close to $1, unlike Bitcoin which can swing 10% in a day. For freelancing, this solves a real problem.

🚀 Faster payments
A bank transfer between countries means days of waiting, fees at every step, and losses on currency conversion. Sometimes the bank just rejects the payment because both sides are in different jurisdictions. USDT removes all of that. Money arrives in seconds, straight to your wallet. No bank in the middle deciding when and how much you get.

🛡 Protected from inflation
If you live somewhere the local currency drops against the dollar, you already know the feeling. Say you earn $500. In a currency that loses 20% a year, that's $400 in real terms by next spring. In USDT it's still $500. You're not racing the exchange rate. USDT stays tied to the dollar, so what you earned keeps the same value while you decide what to do with it.

🤝 You're not alone in this
This isn't a niche idea anymore. 93% of freelancers say they want to be paid part of their income in digital assets, and nearly two-thirds would rather hold stablecoins than their local currency — especially where inflation runs high.

❤️ Simple on Workaby
On Workaby, you don't need to buy anything or learn trading. Do the work, get USDT in your wallet. Then decide — hold it or exchange it for local currency.

You did the work. You decide what happens next.

👍 Your money and your chats are protected on Workaby

Hiring a stranger online is scary. Getting scammed, paying and receiving nothing, someone pulling you off-platform. We built Workaby so you never have to worry about any of it.

Here's what's guarding you:

🗄 Escrow, always
When a client hires, the payment is locked in USDT escrow on TON. The freelancer sees the money is secured before starting. It's only released when the work is approved. No trust required, the code holds the funds.

🤖AI that has your back
This is the part we're proud of. An AI layer watches the platform around the clock:

Fake jobs never reach you. Every task is screened by AI before it goes live. Dummy posts, spam, and "jobs" that are really ads get rejected automatically.
Scammers get caught Our AI reads for classic scams (fake KYC-account recruiting, seed-phrase requests, credential theft). High-confidence scammers are frozen instantly and can't message anyone, before they reach a victim.
Nobody drags you off-platform. Trying to move the chat to WhatsApp or Telegram to dodge escrow? The AI flags it and warns both sides. Off-platform contact sharing breaks the one thing that protects you: escrow.

🫣Contacts stay masked
Phone numbers, emails, and handles are hidden in chat by default, so your deal, and your money, stay where they're safe.

You focus on the work. We'll handle the bad actors.

🆕 What's new this week

420 new members joined Workaby this week. Thank you for spreading the word 🧩

We also shipped a few upgrades:

⭐️ Talent Rank. Freelancers now see their live rank (e.g. #3 in Design) right on their card. It's merit-based: bio, portfolio, rating, completed deals. Not something you can buy with a boost. Fill out your profile to climb.

💎 Smoother deal flow. A freelancer can now decline a job cleanly, and it goes right back to the feed. If a freelancer goes quiet, clients can reclaim funds fee-free after 72h. Completion rate is now visible on every talent card too.

💬 Faster support. Questions through the Support form now get an instant reply, right inside Messages. Ask a question here in the group and you'll get a quick answer too if it goes unanswered for a bit.

🆕 New profiles get a fair shot. Freelancers without a completed deal yet now show as "New" instead of looking empty. First impressions matter.

📫 More jobs are being posted every day. If you're a client, now's a great time to post yours and get picked up fast.

Looking for a BizDev 😎

We need someone who actually knows how to build real relationships. Someone who gets our product’s value, buys into the vision, and can approach founders, agencies, and crypto projects through genuine networking and highly tailored pitches.

We don’t need the one who buys a 10k lead list, plugs it into ChatGPT, and blasts the Web3 market with soulless cold spam. That stuff doesn’t work anymore. We don't care about reports showing "1,000 emails sent."

Your scope of work:

•  Bring in actual clients: Crypto projects, founders, and Web3 agencies worldwide who need talent and are ready to post paid gigs.
•  Onboard KOLs/Creators: Find relevant crypto and freelance Telegram channels and recruit them into our Diamond Affiliate Program.

You’re a perfect fit if:

•  You have an active, warm network in Web3 (and know how to monetize it).
•  You understand the crypto market and Telegram-native distribution inside out.
•  Your English is fluent and persuasive enough to close deals.

You Asked, We Answered! 💬

We recently received some great questions from one of our users about certain details of our platform and thought it’s probably useful for everyone. Here is an open breakdown of how workaby works right now. Let's dive straight into it!

Q: Anyone can post a job without verification — what stops fake or scam postings?
A: The core protection is our escrow model: no freelancer ever does work before the client's payment is locked in on-chain escrow. A fake employer who won't pay has nothing to gain — there's no free work to extract. Applying to a job costs a freelancer nothing, real work only begins once the deal's escrow is funded in USDT. On Workaby, payment — not paperwork — is the proof of a serious client.

Q: Do you hold the employer's payment until it's verified?
A: Yes — that's essentially already how it works. When a client selects a freelancer, they must fund escrow (USDT on TON) before any work starts. The money is locked and released only when the work is approved (or via dispute / auto-release). A freelancer never delivers on trust alone.

Q: What about spam or misleading postings themselves?
A: Every job passes AI moderation in seconds before it goes live, filtering spam and obvious scams. On top of that, both sides have public ratings and reviews, so low-quality clients build a bad reputation fast.

Q: And if something still goes wrong on a deal?
A: Either side can open a dispute from the deal screen. Funds stay frozen, our team reviews the chat and evidence, and the USDT goes to the rightful side (SLA 72h).

Q: Will you add employer verification too?

A: Yes — verification badges for employers (and freelancers) are on our roadmap as an extra trust layer on top of escrow. Your suggestion is exactly the direction we're heading.

@Falconic7 Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback!

Why "Work from Anywhere" is still not for Everyone

The term "Digital Nomad" usually creates a specific image: a freelancer working on a laptop at a beachside cafe in Bali or a chic coworking space in Barcelona. We love to talk about the borderless future of work, the death of the traditional office, and the ultimate freedom of choosing your own timezone.

But there is an uncomfortable truth we rarely talk about: the "Work from Anywhere" movement was built only for people with Western passports and Western bank accounts.

What is a lifestyle choice for some, is an infrastructure battle for others.

🚧 The Infrastructure barries

While one freelancer is thinking about a four-day workweek, another in Nigeria, Argentina, or Pakistan is spending days trying to solve one basic problem: how to actually get paid.

🔴 No Access to Payment Tools: Global services like Stripe do not exist in dozens of countries. PayPal is often blocked or limited to "send-only" mode. Wise faces strict regional limits.
🔴 The Paperwork Trap: Passing long KYC checks or proving your home address is a nightmare if your local system doesn't match Western digital standards.
🔴 The Cost of Earning: Traditional international bank transfers (SWIFT) are too expensive, take too long, and are completely blocked in many regions. High fees and unfair currency exchange can steal up to 25% of your hard-earned money.

Redefining the "Dream Job"

According to reports by the World Bank and the International Labour Organization (ILO), talent is global, but access is not. Workers face "digital geofencing" - where platforms hide profiles from developing nations, or clients choose "US/EU only."

Because of this, the definition of an ideal job changes completely for Tier-3 freelancers:

🟢From "Work-Life Balance" to Financial Safety: When your local currency loses value every day due to high inflation, earning in stable USD or EUR is a must for economic survival.
🟢From Hype to Real Utility: While the West views cryptocurrency as a risky investment or speculation, freelancers in emerging markets use it as a basic payment network. According to a global survey by Zero Hash, 65% of gig workers have lost money due to local bank limits, and 93% want to receive their income in stablecoins (like USDT or USDC) to bypass borders and protect their savings.
🟢From Diplomas to Reputation: Local university degrees mean very little on the global stage. Instead, your on-platform rating, reviews, and completed jobs become your ultimate social elevator 🆙

The global talent pool is more distributed than ever before, but old financial systems still punish talent based on their zip code.

🧩 This is exactly why we built Workaby. Our platform was designed to break down these exact walls. With Workaby, true borderless work is finally a reality for everyone.

🔎 Want clients to actually Find you?

Every freelancer on Workaby appears in the Talent catalog — and its ranking isn't random.

📊Here's exactly how to climb it:

Get listed — the entry ticket
No bio plus no category means — you're invisible. Add a bio and at least one category first. That alone puts you ahead of the roughly half of freelancers who never finished their profile.

Build a track record
Freelancers with completed deals rank above everyone without them. Deliver a few jobs and you jump into the "proven" tier — and deals count even more than your star rating.

Write a real bio
The better your bio, the higher you sit. A clear, specific description beats a thin one. (Stacking 10 categories does not help — a strong bio and one delivered job does.)

Finishing touches
An hourly rate and a profile photo are the tiebreakers that lift you when everything else is equal. One thing that does not affect your rank: your country. Great work is judged by your profile, not your passport

⭐️ Boost — skip the line
A Boost pins you to the very top of the catalog for 48 hours — the single fastest way up, and the newest boost sits highest. You can earn Boosts for free by completing quick tasks in the app.

➡️ Open Workaby app, polish your profile, and grab a free Boost. Your next client is scrolling right now

⚡️ Workaby — 2 weeks after go life

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't..

Two weeks ago we launched a freelance marketplace inside Telegram that pays in USDT — no bank and borders. Here's where the first wave came from:

Visitors by country:

🇳🇬 Nigeria — 178
🇪🇹 Ethiopia — 170
🇸🇬 Singapore — 74
🇮🇳 India — 44
🇺🇸 United States — 14
🇮🇩 Indonesia — 10
🇩🇪 Germany — 9
🇳🇱 Netherlands — 5

Look at the top of that list. These are exactly the places where skills are abundant but access to global pay is broken. That's the whole point.

The two-week scoreboard:

✅ 700+ signups across 15+ countries
✅ 200+ freelancers listed — dev, design, writing, marketing, tutoring
✅ 389 unique visitors and 1,6k+ page views on the app
✅ Low bounce — people arrive and actually explore

Workaby vs Upwork vs Fiverr

All three platforms do the same thing: connect clients with freelancers. But how they do it — and what it costs is very different.

For freelancers:
Fiverr takes a flat 20% from every order. Upwork charges 0–15%, with most freelancers paying around 10–12%.

Here's what that looks like on a $500 project:
👎On Fiverr you get $400. Fiverr kept $100.
👎On Upwork you get $450. Upwork kept $50.
👍On Workaby you get $500.

❤️ Workaby takes nothing from you.

For clients:
Fiverr charges buyers an extra 5.5% on top of the project price. Upwork adds up to 7.99% plus a one-time contract initiation fee.

❤️ Workaby charges clients 5% on top.

🔐 Payment protection:
All three use escrow. The difference is how. On Upwork and Fiverr, funds are held by the platform. On Workaby, money is locked in a smart contract — no one can touch it until the work is approved. Automatic, no manual processing.

💵 Getting paid:
Upwork and Fiverr pay via bank transfer, PayPal, or Payoneer. Withdrawals take days and come with conversion and transfer fees.

❤️ Workaby pays in $USDT — instant, no bank, no delays. For freelancers in countries with limited banking access, that's not just convenient. It's a different game entirely.

📱 Where it lives:
Upwork and Fiverr are separate websites and apps. New accounts, new interfaces, more tabs.

❤️ Workaby runs inside Telegram or as web app. Tasks, chat, payments — all in the app you already have open.

🦖 Getting started:
Upwork requires profile verification and paid Connects just to apply for jobs. Fiverr means setting up gigs and waiting for clients to find you.

❤️ On Workaby the task feed is open before you register. First application takes minutes.

Honest take:
Upwork and Fiverr are big platforms with big client pools. For many freelancers, they work — and that's a fact.

But both were built for a different era. When bank transfers were the only option, 20% felt like a fair trade, and Telegram wasn't yet the working tool it is for half the planet.

❤️ Workaby is being built now — for the way people actually work in 2026.

⚫️ You've been giving away 20% long enough

💼 Feedback contest results

Huge thanks to everyone who tested Workaby this week. Your notes are already turning into real features.

💻 Winner — Treash a freelancer from 🇳🇬 Nigeria who nailed something core:

It's easy to post a task, straight forward But I feel everyone can post task, but how will you know the individual has the money to pay? I think there should be an upfront of pay into an escrow so freelancers can actually know its a serious work and your payment will be sorted Navigation is also easy to scroll, kudos to team.

We're building it: optional Funded tasks, where the client locks the budget upfront so you know the work is real before you apply.

💵15 USDT is on the way.

And three more whose feedback we're acting on, each getting free boosts to push their gig to the top:

🥇 Adesina — ⭐️ 15 boosts
🥈 Habubur — ⭐️ 10 boosts
🥉 Tim — ⭐️ 5 boosts

Keep it coming, more paid tasks are dropping soon 💼

Workaby — digital freedom, turned into a paycheck 🌟

Pavel Durov talks about a world where people are free: free to speak, to build, and to transact without asking permission from a bank, a border, or a gatekeeper. Workaby is what that freedom looks like for the millions of skilled people the old system locks out.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't.

A designer in Lagos, a developer in Tehran, an editor in Manila can do world-class work — but the moment they try to get paid, the walls go up: banks they can't access, PayPal that's blocked, platforms that take a heavy cut, and KYC gates that judge them by their passport instead of their skill.

Workaby removes those walls. It's a freelance marketplace that lives inside Telegram and runs on the TON blockchain. You work for clients anywhere in the world and get paid in $USDT — stable digital dollars sent straight to your own wallet.

No bank account.
No middleman holding your money.
No platform taking a cut from the freelancer.

On-chain escrow protects both sides, so no one does the work and walks away with nothing, and every payout is public and verifiable.

This is economic freedom in practice: your skills, your money, your wallet — owned by you, paid out by code, not by a company that can freeze or gatekeep it. Opportunity stops depending on where you were born or whether the banking system decides to let you in.

Talent is everywhere.
With Workaby, so is the chance to get paid for it.

That's economic freedom for millions. Follow us. Spread the word.
