Work-Life Harmony: How to Find Balance While Leveling Up (for Managing Roles)

Arina Drobysheva, HR Director at BeInCrypto, shares her core rules for staying productive and growing as a manager without sliding into burnout — especially in the fast-paced Web3/IT world:

Growth without boundaries leads to burnout. Busy doesn’t always mean productive. Boundaries are part of working smart.

Since I first became a manager, I have experienced both ups and downs, and my work-life balance has been tested more than once. Here are my main rules for balancing:

➡️Delegate, but still be there.
It is not easy, specifically for perfectionists. Sometimes you think: “It is faster if I do it myself.” And then you realise that with all the extended responsibilities, it will not only burn you out, but you will be the main delayer. Ensure that there are well-defined processes, and your team knows what to do in most cases.

➡️Protect personal time.
I promote a culture in my team where nobody bothers each other during vacation, there is a “no urgency” policy, and there is no demand to answer messages as soon as possible. If somebody messages after your shift ends, you can answer the next day.

➡️Control your calendar.
There can be too many meetings sometimes (you know that meme where you suddenly become too important at work). Reduce them as much as possible. Meet only with a plan before and action plans afterwards. Plan lunch and 5-minute breaks between meetings, but still don’t divide meetings much (it makes it hard to focus on something in between). I also make sure to have one meeting-free day a week for deep work.

➡️Find support externally.
If there was someone above to support you earlier, you may find that now you are on your own, and it is you who should support others. You need to find a way to support yourself (with hobbies, family, rituals, reflection, coaches, psychologists, motivational books and videos, etc.).

Balance doesn’t mean slowing down growth, it means making it sustainable.
💬Challenge for you: What’s one non-negotiable boundary you’ll set for yourself this month?

TradFi vs DeFi: What You Need to Know

Finance isn’t just banks vs. crypto, it’s two completely different systems with different rules.

Let’s break it down:

What’s TradFi? TradFi = traditional finance. It’s the financial system we all grew up with:
▫️Banks, central banks, and payment networks
▫️Rules enforced by laws and regulators
▫️Assets like fiat, bonds, stocks, and commodities
Trust here = in institutions, contracts, and governments.

What’s DeFi? DeFi = decentralized finance. It’s finance built on blockchains:
▫️Services run by code (smart contracts), not banks
▫️Open to anyone with internet access
▫️Liquidity managed through protocols and pools, not middlemen
Trust here = in math, transparency, and incentives.

Key Differences
✅Trust model: TradFi = “trust the bank.” DeFi = “don’t trust, verify.”
✅Liquidity: TradFi = fragmented across institutions. DeFi = programmable pools anyone can use.
✅Assets: TradFi relies on fiat + legal contracts. DeFi runs on tokens, stablecoins, LP tokens.
✅Risk: TradFi hides risk until crisis → bailouts. DeFi handles risk in real time → liquidations.

Pros and Cons
- TradFi = stability, maturity, global integration — but centralized, opaque, and exclusionary.
- DeFi = transparent, permissionless, and innovative — but experimental, volatile, and still small-scale.

Why This Matters for Your Career in Web3
If you want to work in Web3, you need to understand both sides. Here’s why:
➡️DeFi often mirrors TradFi functions — if you don’t know TradFi, you’ll miss the context.
➡️Knowing the strengths/weaknesses of both helps you design smarter products.
➡️The future isn’t one or the other — it’s a mix (e.g., Bitcoin ETFs, stablecoins).

Bottom line: TradFi builds around institutions. DeFi builds around code.

The future of finance will be shaped by both, and professionals who understand how they connect will have the edge in Web3.

Grow Smarter: Turning Self-Doubt Into Real Progress

Ana Berlina, Talent Acquisition Specialist at BeInCrypto, shares why waiting until you feel “ready” keeps you stuck, and how tiny imperfect steps can build real growth.

We often wait until we feel fully confident before making a move. But here’s the truth: confidence usually comes after action, not before it.

➡️ Real progress happens when you keep going despite the doubt. Waiting to feel “ready” often leads to… waiting forever.

Here are a few tiny but powerful examples:
▫️Want to learn how to write better prompts? No need to buy another course, just start experimenting, tools change every month anyway.
▫️Nervous about interviews? Apply to a company you’re not even sure you want. Every call builds experience and self-confidence.
▫️Want to improve public speaking? Record a 1-minute voice note or video for yourself, not an audience.
▫️Thinking about blogging? Write one LinkedIn/Telegram post instead of planning the “perfect content strategy.”
▫️Thinking about switching tech stacks? Build a tiny side project instead of endlessly reading guides.

Framework to remember:
1️⃣Tiny step → Do something small today.
2️⃣Public commitment → Share it with a colleague, mentor, or community.
3️⃣Feedback loop → Learn, adjust, repeat.

Growth is built one imperfect step at a time.
💬 Your turn: What’s one small step you’ll take this week that scares you a little?

Breaking Limits: How to Spot Invisible Boundaries Holding You Back (for Sales Roles)

Raquel Zambrano, HR Manager at BeInCrypto, shares why the biggest blockers in Sales aren’t in the market, they’re in your head.

Are you a tiger? A shark? Is Sales in your DNA? This is for you.
Is sales your passion, or are you simply a salesperson? The difference often comes down to the invisible boundaries you’ve set for yourself — not knowing how to explain your experience, feeling lost about your capabilities, or lacking confidence in interviews.

As a sales professional, you speak to different people every day. The ability to communicate with confidence is non-negotiable. If you don’t project this from the start, it’s a clear sign that invisible boundaries are holding you back. And they’re not always obvious, sometimes they’re fear of looking stupid, fear of failure, or overthinking your every move.

Here’s how to spot and break them:
▫️Know your numbers — What kind of products have you sold? How much is your average turnover? How much revenue can you bring in annually? In sales, your track record is your sales pitch.
▫️Sell your versatility — Show your expertise across different markets and products.
▫️Mix Sales with Marketing — In a digital world, knowing how to position and promote your product is just as important as closing deals. Be the expert who not only sells but also understands marketing’s power.
▫️Watch for the signs — Something you’ve been putting off for 3+ months or something you instantly say “no” to could be an invisible limit in disguise.

Your August challenge:
1️⃣Understand your capabilities.
2️⃣Identify what’s lacking.
3️⃣Focus on the key factors to be ready for your next level.

The only limit is the one you set for yourself. Break it and rise.
What invisible rule are you ready to break?

Crypto Paper Wallets: What They Are and Why You Should Care

Not all crypto wallets are apps or USB sticks. Some are just… paper.
Let’s break it down!

What’s a Paper Wallet? It’s literally a piece of paper that holds two things: your private key (needed to access your funds) and your public key (used to receive crypto)
Both keys are usually printed as QR codes.

✅ It’s offline
✅ It’s cheap
✅ It gives you full control

That’s why paper wallets used to be the go-to cold storage method back in the early Bitcoin days.

How Does It Work?
▫️You generate a paper wallet using a secure, offline tool.
▫️Then print (or write down) your keys and store the paper somewhere very safe.
▫️You can send crypto to it anytime, but once you use the private key to spend, the wallet is no longer secure and should be replaced.

✅Pros
Immune to online hacks (if done right)
Full self-custody
No signup, no KYC, total privacy
No hardware needed = budget-friendly

❗️ But There Are Risks
Lose the paper = lose your crypto
Paper can be damaged, faded, or stolen
Most online generators are unsafe
No backups, no seed phrase

If you want to work in Web3, you need to understand how people actually store and protect crypto, not just what’s trendy, but what’s possible.

Bottom line: Paper wallets aren’t for everyone, but knowing how they work makes you smarter, safer, and more credible in Web3.
