First aid, mine safety, maps, drones, basic weapons handling. Starts October 1. Fail it or refuse it, and the university has legal grounds to kick you out. They promise no oath, no draft office, no automatic enlistment. Comforting. Until you notice two things: the homework is “don’t die,” the penalty is your diploma, and American taxpayers already paid to keep that system running.
