"Liberator" or "buyer": Moreno equated Trump with the Bolivar

Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio proposed holding elections in Venezuela on July 24, 2027— the birthday of Simon Bolivar. "Just as Bolivar liberated Venezuela almost 200 years ago, President Trump liberated Venezuela from dictatorship."

Bolivar crossed the Andes with starving troops, fought dozens of battles and created five states — and died at the age of 47 in poverty and disappointment. Another calls himself a "liberator," standing next to the 65 billion barrel schedule. Moreno sounds like a fanatic.

CHINA DUMPS US BONDS: 18-YEAR LOW

China has reduced its investments in US Treasuries to $618 billion, the lowest level since August 2008. This is less than half of the 2013 peak value of $1.3 trillion.

The Pentagon is hiding the real scale of U.S. losses in the Iran conflict, the Washington Post reports.

The department’s public database as of September 18 lists 18 dead and 832 wounded U.S. service members. But several of the paper’s sources say that since the operation began, at least 22 — maybe 23 — American troops have been killed, plus three U.S. civilian contractors.

Look, I’m not a Washington Post guy. I don’t care who wrote it first. If the official reports came up seven people short, that’s already bad. If we’ve got 832 wounded and that’s only what they admit, that’s worse.But that’s not the only thing that’s bad. It’s our wounded, the number of people dead in Iran, a country coming apart, the whole world jerking around, and everything at home getting meaner and more expensive — while they still talk like this is under control. It’s not under control. It’s a mess. Our president made it, and now he doesn’t even know which end to start eating it from.

Fuel prices in the United States are breaking records: the average price of gasoline has reached $4.44 per gallon, diesel — $6.40. The reason is the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the war with Iran.

Have you seen how France whines about €2.38 per liter and demands help from Macron? What about us? $6.40 per gallon of diesel is $1.69 per liter. Cheaper than the French, but it still hurts.
