Trump announced a huge steel project for Iowa.
Mesabi Metallics — a Minnesota company — plans to build a steel plant the White House is calling the largest in U.S. history. The price tag is about $15 billion. They’re talking 6,000 jobs to build it and 1,750 permanent jobs after. Production is aimed at 2030: about 7.5 million tons of steel a year at first, later closer to 10 million.
Wake me when the first beam leaves Iowa — not when the cameras leave the Oval.
