Tashkent to host the China Central Asia 2026

On October 14-16, the Uzexpocenter Exhibition Complex will host the China Central Asia (Uzbekistan) 2026 Trade Exhibition.

The event will bring together leading manufacturers, exporters, importers, and distributors from both countries. The business platform will focus on showcasing modern goods and services, establishing long-term partnerships, and expanding direct contacts among business community representatives.

Uzbekistan’s Asian Games delegation returns home with 70 medals

Uzbekistan’s athletes won 21 gold, 25 silver, and 24 bronze medals, 70 in total, at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan, finishing a commendable fifth among 45 participating countries.

The country’s sports delegation received a ceremonial welcome at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

Uzbekistan wins the 46th Chess Olympiad

The closing ceremony of the 46th Chess Olympiad, organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), took place at the Eternal City complex of the Samarkand International Tourism Center.

The chess events in Samarkand have now concluded. It began on September 10 with the 3rd FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities and continued with the Chess Olympiad and the FIDE Congress.

Gastronomic Tourism Street established in Andijan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the gastronomic tourism street in Urikzor mahalla of Andijan.

The total cost of the project, covering Mashrab and Sarikuy streets, is 18 billion UZS. Of this amount, 8 billion UZS was allocated from the national budget, and 10 billion UZS was provided by entrepreneurs.

The flow of tourists from South Korea is growing

In the first half of 2026, 26,500 tourists from South Korea visited Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan ranked third in terms of tourist flow among long-distance tourism markets.

Korean tourists’ interest in Uzbekistan is also clearly evident in Bukhara region. The ancient city’s rich history, the Great Silk Road, its unique architectural monuments, and national culture are attracting foreign tourists.
