Danish high school students will be required to defend their written assignments orally due to AI
The Danish Ministry of Education has introduced new rules to combat the use of AI on exams. High school students will now be required to defend their written assignments orally.
In addition, schools will be advised to have students write essays in the classroom rather than at home, and students’ computer activity will be monitored. The measures are aimed at ensuring that “AI does not undermine students’ knowledge and their ability to think independently,” officials say.
Similar trends are being observed in other European countries. For example, in Sweden, the number of disciplinary actions for unauthorized use of neural networks has increased significantly.
