Mealworms Instead of Pork: A New Bavarian Sausage Has Been Invented in Germany

Researchers have developed a recipe in which up to 20% of the ground pork has been replaced with mealworm powder. According to them, this technology could make sausage production more environmentally friendly, although the product’s appearance has changed noticeably.

Users have called this experiment on one of the icons of German cuisine a “perversion.”
