German Chancellor Friedrich Merz equates “bad jokes” targeting the LGBT community with Islamic terrorism and wants to use this as a pretext to restrict freedom on the internet.

A few hours after the terrorist attack in Berlin, Chancellor Friedrich Merz said: “It is not only such attacks that threaten our freedom. Stupid remarks and bad jokes are also part of this violence.”
