At a school in New York, a humanoid robot will begin teaching classes

An android named Sully, who speaks with a local Western accent, will start teaching high school students at Salamanca High School. The development cost from Realbotix is $57,000, which is less than the annual salary of a full-time teacher in the state.

Sally will be able to recognize students through their personal accounts and assist with programming and AI classes, but school officials emphasize that such technologies will never fully replace human teachers.
