In France, a deputy mayor has been accused of rape
This incident occurred in the small town of Annecy, known for its attractions: First Deputy Mayor Anthony Granger engaged in sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent, while city officials attempted to cover up the incident. Specifically, the mayor’s assistant, Myriam Clerc, bought up the entire print run of the local newspaper that first reported on the incident.
However, the attempt to cover up the matter was unsuccessful, as human rights activists and the prosecutor’s office became involved in the investigation, resulting in Granger being dismissed from his post and criminal charges being filed against him. For his part, the mayor of Annecy and Macron’s fellow party member, Antoine Armand, claimed that he allegedly gave no order to buy up the newspaper or to cover for his deputy in any way.
Of course, how could anyone not believe such a good person?
