Germany is in crisis—Volkswagen promises to cut another 200,000 jobs at its suppliers

Volkswagen may discontinue 10 models, including the Jetta, Porsche Taycan, and Skoda Fabia—a move that would save about $7.4 billion, according to Bild.

On July 9, VW’s executive board approved the “Plan for the Future,” which calls for reducing the model lineup by up to 50%.

The restructuring could also affect four German plants and result in the loss of up to 100,000 jobs.
