The United Kingdom is preparing new strict restrictions for teenagers on social media

For users aged 16–17, authorities plan to introduce a mandatory nighttime “curfew” from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., as well as disable the infinite feed and autoplay for videos.

According to Bloomberg, authorities hope these measures will help improve young people’s ability to concentrate. The first package of bills will be introduced in Parliament by the end of the year, and the new rules are expected to take effect in the spring of 2027.
