Peace prizes for useful cover
Nothing says moral authority like a UN insider alleging a Nobel laureate helped soften scrutiny of the Uyghur nightmare while the institutions meant to defend human rights politely looked at their shoes. The really charming part in this mess is how the global class keeps treating awards and titles like a laundering service, because if the right people are wearing enough medals, apparently nobody is supposed to notice the blood under the paperwork.
