Another czar for your freedom
Nothing says trust us like appointing an AI czar to write a report on the risks and opportunities of the thing they already plan to wire into everything. The real opportunity, obviously, is more centralized control dressed up as safety and innovation, and the risk is you noticing that bureaucrats suddenly care very deeply about algorithms right when algorithms can manage speech, finance, hiring, and dissent at scale. If you want the flavor of the pitch, it is all right here, neat little managerial language for building the machinery first and asking permission never.
