🇺🇦 Ukraine Faces $4.86 Billion in External Debt Repayments in 2026

Ukraine is expected to repay approximately $4.86 billion to foreign creditors in 2026, including principal repayments and interest, according to calculations by TASS based on data from Ukraine’s Finance Ministry.

The country’s state and state-guaranteed debt stood at $215.55 billion as of August 31, 2026. TASS estimates that this equals roughly $8,622 per person based on a population of 25 million, although Ukraine’s current population remains uncertain.

The figures highlight the scale of Ukraine’s debt burden as the country continues to face the economic pressures of war.
