❗️Turkiye calls for international action against Israel’s ongoing violations of international law

Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus urged the international community to take concrete action against Israel’s violations of international law, warning that governments can no longer ignore the genocide in Gaza and Israeli attacks across the region.

Speaking at the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament in Rome, Kurtulmus said the international order had failed to hold Israel accountable for crimes against Palestinians, adding, "We cannot let impunity go unpunished."

According to Anadolu Agency, Kurtulmus said Israel’s aggression extends beyond Gaza, citing continued destruction, displacement, and settler violence in the occupied West Bank, alongside threats to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon and Syria. He called on parliaments to play a more active role in upholding international humanitarian law and coordinating efforts to end Israel’s crimes against Palestinians.

He also warned that the international order was losing legitimacy after failing to stop the genocide in Gaza, arguing that reform could not rest solely on the UN.
