❗️CIA analysis warns of civil war and internal collapse in Israel

A CIA "alternative analysis" has warned that Israel faces the risk of internal collapse or civil war amid growing divisions over military conscription, settler violence and the strain on soldiers returning from prolonged military service, according to a report from Drop Site News.

The August analysis, titled "Fracture From Within," was produced by the CIA's Red Cell, a semi-independent unit tasked with challenging prevailing assumptions. It examined tensions ahead of Israel's 27 October elections, including the long-running dispute over military exemptions for ultra-Orthodox Israelis, which has deepened divisions within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition.

The analysis also pointed to the pressure of tens of thousands of armed reservists returning to day-to-day life, rising settler violence in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, food inflation and soaring military spending.

According to Drop Site News, the CIA authors "gamed out" scenarios that could trigger civil unrest or conflict, including a pullback in investment and hiring by foreign technology and AI companies or regional governments ending or freezing relations with Israel.
