❗️US navy seahawk helicopter possibly crashed into Red Sea

• An MH-60R Seahawk helicopter belonging to the US Navy reportedly issued a distress signal while flying over the Red Sea off the coast of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, shortly after Saudi-backed forces announced the launch of a "major offensive" against the Ansarallah-led Yemeni Armed Forces.

• According to FlightRadar data, the helicopter was flying at an altitude of approximately 300–475 feet and a speed of 220.5 km/h before rapidly losing altitude. Its altitude and speed then dropped to zero, after which its transponder signal disappeared completely.

• The reported crash has not been officially confirmed. However, the deployment of a US Navy P-8 maritime patrol and search-and-rescue aircraft to the area has fueled speculation that the helicopter may have crashed into the Red Sea.

• The development comes a day after The New York Times, citing US officials, reported that more than 200 US military personnel and intelligence analysts were assisting the Saudi government from command centers inside the kingdom by providing target analysis and selection in support of Yemeni proxy forces.
