❗️Pezeshkian says Iran no longer trusts talks with Washington

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran no longer trusts negotiations with Washington following what he described as repeated US attacks and sanctions after previous rounds of talks, in an interview with Al Jazeera.

Pezeshkian said Qatar and Pakistan are currently mediating between Iran and the US and conveying Tehran's messages to Washington.

He said negotiations are based on a previous memorandum of understanding between the two countries, adding that Washington must clarify its position on the agreement.

Pezeshkian also accused Israel and the US of "pitting Muslim countries against one another in order to control the region's wealth", saying the two countries had attacked Iran "from the airspace of Muslim countries".

Pezeshkian further accused Israel and the US of attempting to fuel internal disputes among Iranian officials, while claiming that Iran is experiencing "unprecedented unity and cohesion" amid the ongoing war.
