Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei stated that Tehran “always welcomes the good offices of friendly countries,” but clarified that Pakistan and Qatar remain the formal mediators with Washington, in light of reports about a possible role for Russia.

📞 Regarding the conversation between the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia amid tensions in Yemen, Baghaei expressed concern over developments on the Arabian Peninsula and reiterated Iran’s willingness to facilitate dialogue. “Our region is already suffering enough tension as a result of the actions of the United States and Israel,” he stated.

📍 The official maintained that the Yemeni people have the right to live with dignity, free from pressure, sanctions, and blockades, and described the conditions imposed on Yemen over the past 10 to 12 years as unjustifiable under Islamic principles and international law.
