🇵🇦Panama’s National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) issued a report on the severe damage caused by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck 39 kilometers from Tonosí. The earthquake left no fatalities or missing persons, but caused dozens of injuries and widespread destruction throughout the country.

🏥Veraguas, Coclé, and Los Santos: In Veraguas and Coclé, 18 people were reported injured, dozens of homes were damaged, hospitals were affected, and towns were cut off due to collapsed roads. In Los Santos, 300 people were evacuated due to rising sea levels, while several hotels and police stations sustained damage.

📉Herrera, Chiriquí, Colón, and Panama: In Herrera and Chiriquí, homes have collapsed, power plants have been damaged, and 68 schools have been affected. Meanwhile, in Panama and Colón, children have been injured, hospitals have been evacuated, and the Colón Municipal Market and residential buildings have sustained damage.
