🌊 The International Organization for Migration confirmed 139 deaths, including 15 children, after a boat carrying more than 300 migrants capsized while traveling from Djibouti to Yemen.

📍 At least 82 people survived, and 84 remain missing. The search continues off the coast of Obock, in Djibouti.

🗓️ The shipwreck occurred on the night of October 8–9. The IOM set up a response center providing medical and psychosocial care as well as temporary shelter for the survivors.

⚠️ It is one of the deadliest shipwrecks on record along the Eastern Route, between the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
