🇺🇸⚡️ — Future versions of General Dynamics’ next-generation tank and XM30 combat vehicle could feature voice controls, allowing crews to operate sensors, radios, drones and other systems using plain English commands, Axios reports.

Primordial’s Anura human-machine interface, which can operate locally, is expected to be integrated into future upgrade packages and potentially later vehicle models following soldier testing and feedback.

GDLS strategy director Geoff Norman said the technology could enable “more-rapid crew functions” and described the effort as a first-of-its-kind attempt to bring such voice controls to U.S. Army ground combat vehicles.
