🇷🇴⚡️ — A fire broke out aboard the cargo ship ROYAD MAMMADOV in the Black Sea on Monday around 11:00 after the vessel was reportedly hit by a drone. The incident occurred about 20 nautical miles from shore, outside Romania’s territorial waters, near Petrom’s Pescăruș platform.

According to initial official reports, the ship’s captain was injured and 13 crew members are missing. Romania’s Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Constanța launched a search-and-rescue operation and requested assistance from ARSVOM, the country’s maritime search-and-rescue service.

Several rescue vessels were dispatched, including SAR APOLLO from Sulina and SAR ARTEMIS from Dana 72, while SAR ARES was also requested to join the operation.
