🙄 Spammers have started sending spam transactions to Telegram's new Gram Wallet users.
You may receive a message from a service account saying that someone has sent you 0.1 Gram (
the minimum transfer amount). The transfer may include a comment asking you to open a bot and perform a certain action.
Don't fall for it. Don't open suspicious links, enter any personal data, or grant access to anything.
Hopefully, Telegram will take action against this spam in the future. For now, there is no solution other than not using the new wallet 🤪
💎 Every user already has their own wallet address, but the wallet status is currently set to «Inactive».
To activate your wallet, someone needs to share your wallet address with you. You can then send the required amount of Gram to your own wallet using a third-party wallet, or someone else can send you Gram directly via a private message. A minimum balance of 0.1 Gram is required for the balance to become visible.
This is likely intended to reduce unnecessary network load and ensure that only users who actually want to use the wallet activate it.
You can also use direct links to send funds to users, for example, as donation links.
