Kallas on new sanctions against Russia

Europe faces a rapid spread of sabotage attacks and airspace violations. Moscow is trying to intimidate Europe into withdrawing support for Ukraine. As Russia takes greater risks, we must increase the cost of such actions.

Key measures include decisive action against the Russian shadow fleet and tougher steps against its military-industrial complex. The Russian economy is a weak point; pressure must be intensified to end the war.

Ministers discussed extending EU sanctions, which comprise over 3,000 items. Discussions are ongoing, with a goal to finalize and promptly renew them.
