A husband and wife went to the bathhouse. The husband finished washing and wanted to leave. He called his wife, but she would not come: she lay on the bench, enjoying the steam.
Suddenly a devil cried outside the window like a peacock. The husband ran out, then remembered his wife and rushed back. But the unclean spirit would not let him in. It threw only his wife's skin out of the window.
‘Here's your face,’ it said, ‘and here's your wife's skin!’
