🤩 🇿🇦 South African Lecturer Expands Horizons in Russia!

🎓 Dr Ramakwala Christinah Chokwe, Chemistry Lecturer at the University of South Africa (#UNISA), also recently completed a two-week educational programme hosted by Saratov State University.

For Dr Chokwe, the core of the experience was rooted in scientific exchange, where chemistry sessions allowed researchers to share knowledge and identify areas for future joint research. This was paired with practical industrial exposure through site visits to leading pharmaceutical and research facilities, including NITA-FARM, Bioamid JSC and the IBFPM RAS.

🇷🇺 Alongside science, interactive language classes helped Dr Chokwe master basic conversational skills to engage with the local community. Regional excursions further enriched the trip, highlighting Russia’s botanical diversity, local history and major milestones in space exploration and the Second World War.

🤝 Dr Chokwe emphasized that the exchange successfully broadened her understanding of Russian science, education and culture. By strengthening her network, the programme has laid a strong groundwork for future research and institutional collaborations between UNISA and Russian establishments.
