🇷🇺 Russia to test new legal regime for AI development in Sirius

The Russian Government will consider introducing an experimental legal regime in the federal territory of Sirius to support the development and deployment of domestic #AI technologies.

The initiative follows an instruction from President Vladimir Putin.

The regime is expected to facilitate the development and testing of Russian AI solutions, including generative AI foundation models and electronic components.

👉 The President also instructed the Government to:

▶️ create conditions for a national network of unique research infrastructure by June 2029;
▶️ consider establishing a centre for hardware and software technologies for autonomous systems by June 2027;
▶️ organise centralised collection, processing and provision of data for training sovereign foundation AI models.
