🚨Medani v Trump DV-2026 Updates:

Judge Davila has issued an order allowing the 10-day adjudication period to resume October 14, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. (local time at embassy).

Further, he has clarified that “Applications” are defined as all DS-260 Forms successfully submitted. This will hopefully mean we will see at least some 2NLS for DV-2026 applicants who have not attended interview. Further, he ordered that DOS needs to send a copy of his order to embassies with their guidance cable.

Also, we have filed a status report bringing 3 issues to the judge's attention:

(1) CEAC saying "Your search did not return any data." for some plaintiffs.
(2) Limbo faced by selectees whose passports are still at embassy. (using Nepali plaintiffs as example)
(3) US Embassy Lima returning passports with refusal notices that don't state a refusal ground.

(We omitted the exhibits in the public version for plaintiff privacy.)

We understand that there are other issues that plaintiffs and class members face, but drowning the judge in all of them at once would not be effective.
