FAQ: When does the 10-day DV-2026 resumption period begin?

Answer: In Medani v Trump, on October 9, 2026, the government asked the court if the processing could instead resume "from October 14, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. through October 23, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., according to the local time of each diplomatic and consular post that processes and adjudicates such diversity visa applications.” Medani plaintiffs did not oppose that request.

While Judge Davila has not yet issued an order on that request, we believe the government is acting as-if the request was approved. Thus, the resumption period should begin very soon (exact time depends upon where you are located on the crazy little blue ball 🌍).
