He voted to allow illegal immigrants to get taxpayer-funded benefits and make it harder for our law enforcement to actually work with immigration enforcement to do their job. Those are his real votes, allowing kids to change their gender at school and not tell the parents. He's not talking about that because he wants to run from his liberal record. He's too liberal for Iowa.
BAIER: He pushes back, says that you miss votes too, and that you haven't done an in-person town hall in this election.
BAIER: How do you respond to that? Are you going to do one?
HINSON: Yeah, well, I am doing public events on my bus tour across the state. And I've done 47 in-person town halls, dozens more virtual town halls since I took office as a congresswoman. I've been a transparent and accessible representative. And by the way, my voting record on the floor, 99 percent. His this year, 42 percent. Take that as a contrast.
BAIER: All right, lightning round. One word to describe Josh Turek.
HINSON: Poser. I think he's posing as a moderate, and he's not being authentic. I think Iowans value authenticity.
BAIER: Elevator pitch to convince some independent to vote for you and not him.
HINSON: Yeah. I will work with anyone to get things done. I'm a minivan-driving mom who cares about protecting taxpayers, making sure rural America has a seat at the table, and we are a safe and secure country. And that's what I will deliver for our country.
BAIER: Congresswoman, I've been here for the Iowa Caucuses. It's a lot colder then, but it's still chilly.
HINSON: It is.
BAIER: Thank you for the time.
HINSON: Thanks, Bret. Thanks for having me.
BAIER: Appreciate it.
HINSON: Thank you.
