Is this a bad idea? Home assistant Nabu linked on a personal subdomain, with local network access through home assistant' Firefox integration?
Hello boys and girls!
I've had a Home Assistant instance running at home for many years now, connected to Nabu (def worth the money), and exposed to the interwebs through Nabu's service for mobile access and whatnot.
Lately I've been starting to do a bunch more self hosting and general homelab shenanigans, and I wanted to be able to access my homelab stuff from outside my home.
What I did was connect the Nabu link to a personal subdomain, and install Firefox on HA to be able to access proxmox and all home services I have from within Home Assistant.
Is that a bad idea? All my user accounts have MFA on them, I don't really advertise that subdomain (home.personal.com). It allows me to login to my home local network from outside. But now I'm thinking that maybe that is not quite the best of ideas? If a bad actor gets a hold of my HA address (home.personal.com), what can they do without credentials?
What do you all think, bad idea? Should I remove the personal subdomain attachment?
