Because of how some packages prefix their command names, eg
package-name-command some of the lines in which-key can be quite long.An example of this is the
vulpea-ui-collection-filter commands with the prefix being 21 characters which means the default 27 characters set by which-key-max-description-length is too short after adding the commands and their descriptions.It could be possible to alias all the
vulpea-ui-collection-filtercommands with a shorter prefix like vufc, but that would mean overriding every such command and that could become too many to manage?May be which-key could simply check the command to be displayed for a prefix, substitute the prefix with a pre-configured shorter prefix, then map it back to the original command when chosen?
What would be the least invasive manner to accomplish this, and even extend it to other packages?
Any ideas?
