Reuters issued a statement marking three years since its visual journalist Issam Abdallah was killed by Israeli tank fire in southern Lebanon. The attack also wounded six other journalists.

The news agency said repeated requests for an explanation had produced no substantive account from the Israeli government beyond a statement that the incident remained under review.

Reuters also said questions remain unanswered about the killing of its cameraman Hussam al-Masri in an Israeli strike on Nasser Hospital in Gaza on 25 August 2025.
