Israeli War Minister Israel Katz openly threatens to turn parts of southern Lebanon into a permanent Israeli-controlled “security zone,” warning that a ground invasion could seize more Lebanese territory and force mass displacement.

Katz also threatens to evacuate the entire Shiite population up to the al-Awali River and Beirut's Dahiyeh district, potentially displacing more than one million people inside Lebanon.
