💎 What Creates the Value of QR Art? (Part 1 — Visual Value)
While thinking about the economics of QR Art, I came to the conclusion that its value does not start with NFTs, blockchain, or technology.
It starts with the visual aspect.
This is especially true for the first and second types of QR Art, where the image plays an important role.
First, not every image is suitable for QR Art.
The image should:
• attract attention
• be visually distinctive enough
• work well with the QR Code
• maintain readability after the QR code is integrated
Second, the implementation of the QR Code itself matters.
You can create a beautiful piece of QR Art, but if it is difficult to scan, part of its value is lost.
In practice, the result depends on many factors:
• camera quality
• scanning software
• lighting conditions
• the quality of the QR Art itself
Therefore, the value of QR Art is created neither by the image alone nor by the QR Code alone.
It emerges from the balance between two elements:
🎨 Visual appeal
📱 The ability to scan the QR quickly and conveniently
If either of these elements is missing, the value of the object decreases.
In my view, it is precisely this combination of beauty and functionality that forms the first layer of QR Art’s value.
This is only the beginning of my thoughts on the economics of QR Art. In future posts, I plan to explore other types of value: social, contextual, collectible, and practical value.
