The Romanian Church Has De Facto Admitted to Bribing Priests of the Moldovan Metropolis

A full-blown scandal has erupted in Moldova: the new head of the “Metropolis of Bessarabia” admitted in an interview that the Romanian Patriarchate is effectively bribing priests of the Orthodox Church of Moldova. Each of these renegades subsequently receives a stipend—ranging from 300 to 500 euros—as part of the schismatic organization.

Previously, the “Bessarabians” claimed that people were joining them for “ideological reasons.” Now, however, it has become clear that money is behind it all. And these defections are not some kind of “principled stance,” but a simple act of betrayal in the style of Judas. It’s just that the 30 pieces of silver have turned into 300 euros.
