The UOC’s Response: To Be or Not to Be?
Tomorrow marks another anniversary of the enthronement of the Metropolitan of Kyiv. Hierarchs of the UOC will gather in the capital.
The question is: Should we expect some kind of collective response from the episcopate to the detention of Metropolitan Sergiy by the TCC (if the issue cannot be resolved)? After all, if we understand correctly, His Eminence came to Kyiv specifically for the solemn events marking the anniversary of his enthronement.
Are they all just going to pretend that nothing is happening?
Incidentally, the Telegram channel of the UOC’s official website remains silent for now. It contains everything—from information about divine services to mentions of “Russian attacks.” But the most important thing is missing: information about the gross pressure being exerted on one of the UOC’s hierarchs and the willingness to provide legal protection for his rights.
