Simultaneously, reports of problems emerged at Qrator Labs, a major DDoS protection provider. The cause of the widespread outages has not yet been fully determined.

Users have experienced problems accessing the websites of RBC, Vedomosti, RIA Novosti, Kommersant, Vesti, and Interfax. Some publications' pages are not loading or are opening with significant delays. The issues have affected several major news organizations, so these may not be isolated editorial issues, but rather issues with the overall network infrastructure.
